Twisted Love by Ana Huang is the first book in the Twisted series. Ana Huang is a Chinese-American, New York Times Bestselling author. She mainly writes in the New Adult and Contemporary Romance genres. Twisted love depicts a cold hearted, revenge seeking Alex and a soft hearted, loving Ava.
The main tropes in the book are brother's best friend, forced proximity and grumpy-sunshine. Both Ava and Alex are very multi-dimentional characters, their romance is not the only storyline that spans throughout the book. Since this book is the first one in the series it also introduces many other characters such as Ava's best friends: Bridget, Jules and Stella, as well as Ava's brother Josh and Bridget's bodyguard Rhys.
Twisted Love has many different trigger warnings that a reader should know before reading it such as: abusive parents, aquaphopia/panic attacks, attempted murder/drowning, child abuse, death/violence, mentions of suicide, and graphic intimate scenes.
Dedication rating: 3,5/5 stars. It's funny but doesn't quite hit the mark.
